History Of UK Carp Magazine

To understand the history of UK Carp, the world's fastest growing online carp fishing magazine, you have to go back to 2003 when UNHOOK Online Carp Blog/Article Site was formed.

Scott Latham & Tom Fellows bought UNHOOK from its previous owners, who stayed on board as bloggers for a short period. The aim was to develop it into a high flying online title that would rival other carp websites and published magazines.

There was a problem, though. UNHOOK was failing when Scott & Tom took over. Hits prior to them acquiring UNHOOK were not great and the magazine had a poor layout, content and lack of up to date articles.

So in 2008 the magazine relaunched as UK Carp or www.carpfishingmagazine.co.uk and all of our expectations were bettered in the first three months of the magazine's existence. Through out 2009 UK Carp had averaged more than 25,000 visits per month, such high demand required more editorial staff.

In January 2010, Richard Higham, Joined the team as Duty Editor. Under his focused leadership the magazine will continue to grow and get better still. Now it is bigger than ever and has a current audience of almost 30,000 visits every month. This figure, thanks to the efforts of all of the team, columnists and redesign and development of the website/magazine completed in early january 2010 by www.virtual-studios.co.uk.

Without the efforts of all the people who've worked on the magazine over the years and the carp industry companies who have supported us , UK Carp wouldn't be what it is now - Possibly the best Online carp magazine in the world!
