Editorial Submissions

UK Carp is the UK’s leading online carp fishing magazine. We are dedicated to covering the entire spectrum of the carp world, from baiting to lake reviews, from the cutting-edge tackle to the periphery of the sport. We tend to work with a core group of proven contributors, but as writers and anglers, you are an invaluable link to the carp community. We welcome your best ideas and strongest queries.

Our title gives you access to more than 30,000+ monthly readers.  However, the foundations of UK Carp can be seen in our niche skills. We have what no other angling publisher in Europe has: a specialist carp only title.

UK Carp is a non profit making organisation (and tends not to pay for content) and relies on the support of angling industry companies and volunteer contributors & editorial team.

Features

We want features that are honest, fresh, interesting, informative and accurate. Above all, features must be strong, and speak to the community. They are best when they tackle issues larger than the subject matter itself, and help define the state of our sport in a way that’s current and relevant.

Don’t submit queries that say, “Hi, I’m going on a fishing trip to [insert some destination] and need some help covering expenses. Want to do a feature on it?”

Features must include angling photography. Digital submissions are preferred.

Features typically run 1,000 to 3,000 words. Please e-mail feature queries to the Editorial Team: This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it

Outlook

With well-written, first-person experience articles that illuminate or amuse, the Outlook section is often a place for new writers to build a relationship with UK Carp. 500 to 1,500 words are adequate.

IMPORTANT!

UK Carp would ask contributions to be exclusive to our magazine and the copyright to be shared with the magazine and the author (author having final say).

Photos may include a small watermark on them showing the copyright of the photographer.

UK Carp is not responsible for unsolicited submissions.
