Editorial Submissions UK Carp is the UK’s leading online carp fishing magazine. We are dedicated to covering the entire spectrum of the carp world, from baiting to lake reviews, from the cutting-edge tackle to the periphery of the sport. We tend to work with a core group of proven contributors, but as writers and anglers, you are an invaluable link to the carp community. We welcome your best ideas and strongest queries. Features We want features that are honest, fresh, interesting, informative and accurate. Above all, features must be strong, and speak to the community. They are best when they tackle issues larger than the subject matter itself, and help define the state of our sport in a way that’s current and relevant. Don’t submit queries that say, “Hi, I’m going on a fishing trip to [insert some destination] and need some help covering expenses. Want to do a feature on it?” Features must include angling photography. Digital submissions are preferred. Outlook With well-written, first-person experience articles that illuminate or amuse, the Outlook section is often a place for new writers to build a relationship with UK Carp. 500 to 1,500 words are adequate. IMPORTANT! Articles will be proof read by member(s) of the editorial team before published to the magazine. Correct as of: 5th January 2010 |
